Real Estate Internet Auctions Gaining Momentum

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Before the Internet, real estate agents controlled real estate listings. The only way a buyer could find homes for sale was by relying on an agent, looking through the local newspapers or by driving around neighborhoods. All of these methods took time and considerable effort.

The Internet has changed the market and now about 90% of buyers begin their home search online. While it can save an agent time by not being in the middle it can also give a buyer an overwhelming number of choices.

As the Internet becomes more common place and technology continues to get better, more of the real estate purchase transaction is moving on-line. One example is the online real estate auction.

For years, real estate auctions have been successful on the courthouse steps or in the front yard and they still are today. Then, when EBay® www.ebay.com came along, people became more comfortable buying and selling consumer goods through online auctions. Now, anybody with minimal computer skills can sell their used or new stuff anywhere around the world.

The result of this success has been a natural progression into online real estate auctions, and they are steadily gaining momentum. Technology is making the online auction more exiting and bringing it to life with some sites featuring live count downs and auto-extending until bidding stops.

An online auction offers buyers the ability to find great deals and compete equally and openly with other buyers. Most online auctions allow buyers to see the highest bid and easily control how high they go. An online auction is especially perfect for investment properties, where very little emotion is involved, just numbers.

As an investor selling a property, an auction is a great way to put a deal in front of as many buyers as possible during a short period of time. The process takes selling to another level by automating the offer (bidding) process. The seller no longer needs to spend time dealing with multiple offers or worrying about whether they are accepting the highest offer.

It’s understandable why real estate Internet auctions are gaining momentum, especially for real estate investment properties. If you haven’t been keeping up with this growing opportunity, it’s time to get involved.

4 Simple Steps to SEO

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Search engine optimization is the process of improving a website in order to acheive higher search engine placement. SEO is not a complicated process, it involves mostly common sense. This article explaines the 4 simple steps that will, if followed correctly greatly improve your search engine rankings and help you gain an inital foothold in the major search engines search results.

#1 Compile a keyword list: Target the most frequently used keywords on your page. Begin with around 10 keywords. Also use combinations of keywords for example: If your site sells video games and game systems, a good keyword phrase would be: video games and game systems or video game systems. Optimizing the word video games would be pointless because the competition would be so huge most websites will not be found in the search results, taking into account the age of the domain and the number of backlinks that point to a site, which will also dramatically affect search engine the rankings. Most searches made by internet users contain keyword phrases instead of just one keyword.

#2 Edit your title, meta description tag and meta keyword tag using the keywords from your newly compiled keyword list. The title should contain no more than 10 or 12 words, the description meta tag should contain no more than 150 characters. and the keyword meta tag should contain no more than 200 characters. Insert the keywords into the title starting with your three main keywords, keep in mind the number of words used, try to stay under 10 or 12. Next, edit your meta description tag using the same keywords, location of each word is crucial. Try to keep the title and meta description as similar as possible, not completly dublicated but as close as possible. It might sound a little strange but it works. This will greatly improve your search engine rankings. Stop words are also a factor than can affect rankings. Words such as: the, and, is, in, are, etc. are words that should not be used if at all possible. Removal of stop words is a guarantee of higher search engine placement. The location of your keywords in the title and meta tags will also affect your placement.

#3 Use keywords as links on your page, referring back to video games as an example, when editing your page use text such as video games, game systems and so on as links as close to the beginning of the page as possible. Keep in mind search engines read a page header first, then starting on the top left reading down the left side, after reaching the bottom of the page the content is read from the center of the page to the bottom. Then the right side of the page is read ending with the footer.

#4 Keyword placement: It is essential that all of your keywords are at the beginning and the end of your webpage. Keywords need to be placed in the first 50 words of a webpage. Keywords also need to be placed into the last 50 words on the page. Start with the header of your webpage, use keywords there first. Then place keywords on the left side of your page. Try not to repeat keywords, and do not stuff images with keywords. One keyword per image. Whenever possible use anchor text instead of images. To place keywords at the end of the page, use keywords in the footer and on the right side of the page. Remember how search engines read a page, header first, then top left reading down, center text reading down, top right reading down and footer last. If these 4 steps are followed exactly you can guarantee yourself excellent search engine placement even #1 on Google.

There are other factors which can improve your search engine rankings such as backlinks. When it comes to linking, reciprocal or one way links both are excellent ways to increase your link popularity. One way links however seem to be the way to go because there is no linkback required by you. Meaning no link pages to set up. Directory and article submissions are an excellent way to build quality one way links. You do not need thousands of useless links to gain high rankings on the search engines. Only a handfull of high quality and relevant links are needed to give you excellent search engine rankings. http://www.submit-site.org/

Nofollow 101 - Understanding the Nofollow Tag

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

What is Nofollow?

Nofollow is an html attribute first introduced in 2005 by Google. Originally, the rel=”nofollow” attribute was added to discourage comment spam in blogs. Links with nofollow should not influence the link target’s ranking in the search engine.

From the Google Blog:

From now on, when Google sees the attribute (rel=”nofollow”) on hyperlinks, those links won’t get any credit when we rank websites in our search results. This isn’t a negative vote for the site where the comment was posted; it’s just a way to make sure that spammers get no benefit from abusing public areas like blog comments, trackbacks, and referrer lists.

From Google Answers:

“Nofollow” provides a way for webmasters to tell search engines “Don’t follow links on this page” or “Don’t follow this specific link.”

So the rel=”nofollow” attribute is a tool that can help define your most important links to the search engines.

Search Engines that support nofollow: Google, MSN Search and Yahoo!

History of Nofollow

Originally, the nofollow attribute was used on the page-level with a meta tag. It instructed search engines not to follow (crawl) outgoing links on a page. See the original post for an example.

Another way to tell search engines not to follow (crawl) pages was to include them in a robots.txt file. But it was more difficult to prevent robots from following individual links on a link by link basis. The rel=”nofollow” attribute allows webmasters to easily instruct the search engine robot to not crawl a link.

How to Spot Nofollow Links?

You can install browser plugins, or edits to Chrome to show a highlighted color over nofollow links. You can also install a plugin to your blogging software.

Nofollow Implications

Links are now either dofollow or nofollow. From the perspective of building links to your site or blog, dofollow links will always give you more link juice. While nofollow links won’t either harm or help your link building. With that said, how you decide to build links with respect to the nofollow attribute (whether you want to get ONLY dofollow links or both to create a more natural array of links) will be an individual choice. How to use nofollow in link building strategy is a discussion for my next post!

Nofollow FAQs

How Do I Remove Nofollow?

1. Browser Plugins - highlights all links which are nofollow

- Chrome extension - add text to ChromEdit and follow directions

- FireFox has a version of the ChromEdit called ChromeEdit Plus

- Firefox plugin - SEO for Firefox

2. Blog Plugins

Wordpress Nofollow Plugins:

- Lucia’s Linky Love - Rewards frequent commenters, you can set how many comments must have been made to be awarded a dofollow link.

- Nofollow Reciprocity - Detects nofollow links, if you link to a site and it is nofollow, your link to them also becomes nofollow.

- NoFollow Free - removes the nofollow attribute from blog comments and inserts an image band at the top of your pages with the phrase: “NoFollow Free” (optional).

- Dofollow - Simply install and activate, all nofollows are removed from comments and trackbacks.

- Dofollow (WP Plugin) - allows nofollows to be removed from comments, pingbacks and trackbacks but you can also set a comment age limit as well as have nofollow removed left by user type.

Andy Beard has a list of more nofollow plugins; including those for Blogger, TypePad and Moveable Type.

How Do I Add Nofollow?

For more control of your inbound and outbound links, you can add tag rel=”nofollow” within any html tag. See the original post for an example.

Does a link with nofollow count as a backlink?

Opinions vary on whether the nofollow attribute is completely discounted, or just given less relevance to the search engines. Keep in mind that how the search engines view nofollow may also vary. However, according to Google, that answer is no.

Why would I want to use nofollow on a link?

You might want to use nofollow on a link you don’t endorse, but has information you want to point to. On blog sites, you may want to give a nofollow link to spam comments and give credit to comments that are well thought out or contribute to your post.

Top 3 Easy Steps to Rank in Google

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Ranking in Google for your chosen keywords can be accomplished with 3 simple steps. Let’s discuss them one at a time.

1. Research the keywords you want to rank for.

Before you can optimize a site for the keywords you want to rank for, you need to know if those keywords are worth ranking for. It doesn’t matter if you rank in Google for keywords that nobody is searching for. To find out how many searches are performed each month for a given set of keywords, use Google’s AdWords keyword tool.

2. Assess the competition for your chosen keywords.

We’d all love to rank in Google for “life insurance” or “home loans”, but the competition is incredibly fierce, and it would be very difficult for a one or two person team to accomplish. That’s why it’s important to asses the competition for your chosen keywords beforehand.

To find out how difficult it will be to rank for a given set of keywords, perform a search in Google for the keywords. Then, one by one, copy the URL of the top 5 ranking web sites and paste them into Yahoo’s Site Explorer.

After pasting a URL into the site explorer, look at the number of “inlinks” shown. If any of the sites in the top 5 search results have fewer than 300-500 inlinks (incoming links to the URL), then you have a good chance of ranking well for those keywords.

3. Build links to your site using your given keywords as the link text.

To rank well in Google, the primary thing you need to do is build links into your web site that use the keywords you want to rank for as the link text. For instance, if you want to rank in Google for “small blue widgets”, then you need links aimed at your site with the phrase “small blue widgets” as the link text.

However, you need to have a variety of link texts to prevent Google from thinking you are spamming their search engine. A good rule of thumb is the 60/30/10 rule: 60% of your links should have your primary keywords as the link text, 30% should have your secondary keywords, and 10% should have a third set of keywords.

Make sure you build your links slowly over time, at the rate of 3-5 links per day at most. If you build your links too fast, Google will think you’re out to game their search engine and will not rank your site well. This is especially true if your site is brand new. Older sites can get away with a bit more links per day.

Research Is Easy, And Links Can Be, Too

The research steps of search engine optimization (steps #1 and #2) are easy enough to perform on your own. However, to build the quantity of links you need in order for your site to rank in Google, and to build those links in the way that Google will reward, you need a proven link building system.

Is there such a system that automatically builds links to your site in the way that Google likes to see, helping you to rank in Google very quickly? Yes, there is. The system I strongly recommend has achieved thousands of top 10 rankings in Google for hundreds of webmasters, and can do the same for you as well. For rock-solid proof of its effectiveness, visit this web site now.

The Google Sandbox Explained

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Introduction
The Google Sandbox is a metaphorical term to explain why most new websites have very poor rankings in Google Search Engine Results Pages (SERPS). Very few people know for sure if the ’sandbox’ actually exists, but it seems to be a filter added to the Google algorithms sometime around March 2004.

What is the function of the Google Sandbox?
The generally accepted principle behind the Google Sandbox is that it enables Google to filter out ‘Flash-in-the-Pan’ websites from those that offer good quality, up-to-date content. It is within Googles interest to ensure that the results it displays to its users within the SERPS lead to highly relevant, up-to-date, useful websites Relevancy is key to the search engines success so it will take all steps it can to ensure the relevancy of its search results. Filtering out new websites and monitoring them may allow them to provide more accurate results within the real SERPS.

Indentifying the Sandbox?
How do you know if your website in in the sandbox? Most new websites under newly registered domains will get relegated to the sandbox once Google knows about the site. Google will find the site by following an Inbound Link (IBL) from another site that the Googlebot crawls. You will then see the website in the normal Google SERPS if you search for the actual domain name, but the website is unlikely to be listed for any of its keywords. Google also won’t show signs of any other websites linking to your website, nor will it display pages related to yours. In addition Google won’t list any pages other than your Home (index) page.

If you track your websites visitor stats whilst it is in the Google Sandbox, you will see that the Googlebot comes crawling fairly regularly and that it does crawl, and therefore catalogue, all of your pages. Google does know that your pages exist and knows what they contain, but doesn’t list them in the main SERPS. In other words, because your website is new, it is under probation in the ’sandbox’.

How Long Will My website Stay in the Google Sandbox?
It is difficult to say how long a website will stay in the Google sandbox as this seems to depend on the types of keywords it will be completing for in the real SERPS It can be up to 6-8 months and the only way to get out of the sandbox is to wait.

The Google Sandbox isn’t all bad news. If your site contains good quality relevant material it will find its way out of the sandbox and will get the rankings it deserves in the Google SERPS. I even have some theories that may mean that your time in the sandbox can be used wisely to actually improve your final rankings.

You also shouldn’t forget that Google isn’t the only search engine out there. MSN is widely used and with the might of Microsoft behind it is likely to become a bigger player in the search engine world in the new future. At the time of writing, MSN or other search engines such as Yahoo! and Alta Vista don’t have a ’sandbox’ filter and your new websites will be listed in the quickly and should start driving traffic to your site.

How To Market Effectively Online - Without Spending Money

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

It’s no secret that selecting proper keywords is a very big part of how to market effectively online. It is essential for successfully driving quality traffic to your website. As a matter of fact, if I had to pick one aspect of marketing online to really spend time (and even money)on, it’d be keyword selection…hands down! Do you agree? Well maybe you do, but it just isn’t that easy…especially if you’re using Pay-Per-Click.

One main reason for this belief in keyword selection is because you need to use the very best keywords to get achieve higher ranks in the search engines. While a lot of people try to avoid the whole “SEO” thing, it shouldn’t be taken lightly, and can/will make all the difference in the world!

Basically, search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN are trying to provide the best content possible for the searches that are entered into their engines. Think about it! Don’t you want the most narrowed results you can get when searching for something online? I’d bet you do! Let’s focus on what I’m talking about when I say “most narrowed results” for a minute. To me, this is the most important step in how to market effectively online.

If you’re looking to get into shape, you may perform a search like, “workout program” in Google. That keyword phrase will literally return millions of pages that you can sift through looking for what you want. Now, let’s narrow that down to what you’re specifically looking for, like, a “slimmer waistline”. Type that into the search engine and it’ll return less results and they’ll relate more to what you’re looking for. This is called “targeting your search”, so to speak. Do you see where I’m going with this?

Ok, so how does this apply to you?

When you’re looking for keywords and phrases to use in your marketing efforts, articles or SEO, make sure you use targeted keyword phrases that specifically aim for a group within a group. For instance, if you’re looking to market to people trying to loose weight, don’t just use a broad phrase like, “weight loss” or “loose weight”. Something better might be “trim my waistline” or “loose 10 pounds in 30 days”. I guarantee that those terms will be much less searched, but will reach an audience that is looking for something specific. Also, the less result and more narrowed the search, the better chance you have of getting a higher page rank in Google. Using this strategy will significantly raise your chances of making a sale, or keeping them on your site for a longer period of time.

Another important aspect to point out here is keyword density. If you’ve researched how to market effectively online, then chances are you’ve read a little about it. Basically, an article or web content should contain your keyword or keyword phrase at a rate roughly 3-5%. In other words, 3-5% of your content should be EXACTLY that keyword or phrase that you’ve chosen.

Be careful not to go over that percentage as the search engines may see you as spam, and your article or website will literally fall off the face of the internet! That’s a large price to pay, so don’t go overboard! Showing people how to market effectively online isn’t something that’s done overnight, but this is a good starting point!

There is one resource that I use on a daily basis that has been the difference-maker in my success online. It includes all research/keyword tools, support and know-how you’ll ever need to make money online. And the best part?…it’s costs less than a tank of gas to become a member!

Internet 2005: The Ten Billions Pages Search Engines

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

To see each and every page during 10 seconds would take 694 days 24/24.
The leading search engines fight to be the first that oversteps this level.
In the meantime the key word “sex” has been typed about 20′000′000 times on the entire web and Google found 333′000′000 results for this query in January 2005.

According to Wordtracker “sex” leads the top 200 long-term keywords on a database of 368′159′632. The 2nd and the 3rd word are also sexual but ruder.

During the same period the key word “sharing” has been typed 16′088 on the entire web and Google found 44′800′000 results for that query according to www.keyword-search-engine.com.

The same search gives 425′656 typed queries and 229′000′000 Google results for “war”, 174′912 typed queries and 66′300′000 Google results for “peace”.
In such an environment, think of how exciting it would be to launch an e-business site oriented towards sharing, interdependence, exclusivity and selectivity. What a challenge!

To begin with the powers to decide would be shared between its customers, its suppliers and itself.

The customers would get the opportunity to choose the products to market. The limited products range would follow the “one new goes in one old goes out” rule.

The quantity of products would be limited to a small percentage of the estimated World Population.

Each and any top-notch supplier would get an opportunity to be presented to the customers.

The bid would be on a global selectivity. Fair royalties would be the way to pay the main suppliers, the sales force and the site workers.
Pornography, violence and racism would be frozen out in order to support the positive side of the Life.

Last but not least, this site would make money. But not at any price and in any conditions.

Such an e-commerce does exist, it is called www.oneppm.com (for “One Person Per Million”), a new fine art photography inline gallery.

It runs on a policy of quality, exclusivity and selectivity in the offered photos with a golden rule of limited subjects submitted by top-notch photographers, voted by demanding visitors and edited in strictly limited number following the World Population. Royalties on the actual sales pay the main performers.

Each and every photo is edited once and never again and delivered with a numbered authentication certificate. The catalog applies the well-known “one-new-goes-in-one-old-goes-out” rule.

Only one person per million — sometimes even one person per ten millions — can buy and possess a copy that exist nowhere else.

As for the photograph, the sales force and the publisher “success rules”.
This is quite a fresh endeavor, its success is far from being granted but it is worth to watch.

Learn Search Engine Marketing - Inbound Links

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

When you look at search engine optimization for your website, keep in mind that search engine robots look at how your pages are linked together and how your site is linked to other sites. When you place a link on your site, this is an OUTBOUND LINK; the site of the link benefits.

INBOUND LINKS is what the search engine robots look for; you want sites of related content and high traffic to place a link to your site on their site.

The fastest way to accomplish this is to write informative articles that link back to your site and have them published on other websites. The signature line in your forum posts that include your website address create links to your site as well as directory listings.

The more pages of VALUABLE CONTENT you have on your site, the more inbound links you can have pointing to your site. The exception to this is “Free For All” (FFA) pages which are also called “Link Farms” which can have the opposite effect and get you banned from search engines.

Find out who is linking to your site by using the three advance search commands:

link:www.yourdomain.com

inurl:yourdomain

allinurl:yourdomain

There are several Link Popularity Checker online; the Webmaster Toolkit and Marketleap has two of the most reliable.

Search engine optimization is a combination of four major factors, your keywords, your keyword optimized content, submissions to search engines and inbound links. Each one of these factors are important and together as a unit they can give you good search engine rank.

How To Get Unlimited High PR Backlinks

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Backlinks have become so important for Search Engine Optimization, that they have become some of the main building blocks to good SEO. In this article, I will explain to you what a backlink is, why they are so important, and what you can do to get them without getting into trouble with the Search Engines.

What are “backlinks”?

Backlinks are links that are directed towards your website. Also knows as Inbound links (IBL’s). The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance of that website. Backlinks are important for SEO because some search engines, especially Google, will give more credit to websites that have a good number of quality backlinks, and consider those websites more relevant than others in their results pages for a search query.

In other words,Google can only tell if your site is good or not and worth a high ranking if other people tell Google they like your site. Backlinks are like popularity votes in in Google’s eyes.

Google determines the most popular websites not only by how many links they have, but by the quality of those links. Every website in the world has a certain PR score.PR is how Google judges quality of a website. PR 3 is average and anything PR 5 and above means GREATNESS. Technically Google is just a robot which has to assign formulas.

There are good and bad ways to build Backlinks for your website. The best way is to get quality Backlinks from high PR Websites.

Getting quality backlinks without having to reciprocate provides a major boost to your site’s Google PageRank, search engine rankings and traffic. I’m sure those are goals of yours. It is also a fact that people surf the Internet looking for information.

By combining those two ideas, you can increase your visitor traffic to your website, while getting new High PR Backlinks at the same time.
